What you’ll do:
The Advanced Practice Nurse on the Burn Service at Loyola University Medical Center will care for both adult and pediatric burn patients across the inpatient and outpatient continuum, with a pediatric focus as part of the role. This position will include responsibility for floor management, daily care planning, clinical coordination, family communication, and disposition planning to ensure safe, timely, and patient-centered transitions of care. Working with the collaborative burn multidisciplinary team. The APN will continue longitudinal involvement with patients through selected burn clinic staffing, supporting continuity after discharge and helping address wound care, recovery, rehabilitation needs, and family education. In addition, the APN will work closely with pediatric service lines and multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, rehabilitation, social work, nutrition, child life, case management, and consulting specialties, to coordinate comprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of pediatric burn patients and their families while maintaining support for the broader adult burn population.

What you’ll need for this job:
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education: Required: Master's Degree
Minimum Experience:
Required: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
Preferred: 6-10 years of previous job-related experience
Licensure/Certifications:Required:
- CPR – (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
- Nursing – Current Registered Nurse License - State of Illinois (RN)
- Nursing – Nursing Practitioner License – State of Illinois (APN)
- Physician Assistant License – State of Illinois (PA)
Comp- Pay Range: $109,304 - $180,336 per year
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
