SUMMARY
The mission of Alacura Medical Transportation Management is to provide the best care possible for patients by ensuring
they have access to high-quality and affordable medical transportation. Technology powers this mission through both
on-premise and cloud-based software platforms. Our growth has created the need for a highly skilled Senior Software
Developer with expertise in AI/LLM application development, Salesforce engineering, and enterprise integration platforms such as HAPI FHIR, Boomi, and Mulesoft. This role will architect and build next-generation digital solutions that automate workflows, streamline data flows, and strengthen operational performance across the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build backend services and APIs using cloud-ready architectures and secure authentication/authorization models.
- Enable and maintain secure, reliable bidirectional data flows between Salesforce Health Cloud and external payer systems using FHIR R4
- Assist in the design, development, and deployment of AI/LLM-powered enterprise applications.
- Integrate third-party AI services and optimize AI applications for performance, latency, scalability, and cost.
- Architect and implement Salesforce integrations using APIs, Apex services, and event-driven patterns.
- Design and build enterprise integrations using HAPI FHIR, Boomi, or MuleSoft, including reusable connectors, workflows, and automation patterns.
- Ensure reliability, observability, and HIPAA/HITRUST-grade security across integration pipelines.
- Develop modern front- and back-end applications using Java, React, Next.js, or similar frameworks.
- Create ETL pipelines and integrate applications with analytics and data platforms for reporting and workflow insights.
- Deploy and support applications in cloud environments using CI/CD pipelines and other modern DevOps tooling.
- Build monitoring, observability, and logging dashboards to support operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technology capabilities with business needs.
- Document development processes, integration designs, and technical workflows.
- Support strategic IT initiatives, roadmap development, and enterprise modernization efforts.
RELATIONSHIPS
Interfaces with: Executive staff, coworkers, vendors, clinicians, operational leaders, and customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 5–10+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Extensive full-stack development experience (Java, React/Next.js, Node.js, Python or equivalent).
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure (AKS, VMs, Azure Functions, DevOps pipelines) and AWS
- Strong experience developing and deploying AI/LLM-powered applications.
- Experience with Salesforce integrations, APIs, and Apex development.
- Experience with HAPI FHIR, Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar integration platform development.
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with cloud data platforms.
- Experience building secure solutions in regulated environments (HIPAA/HITRUST).
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Experience working with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver software.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Healthcare or medical transportation technology experience.
- Certifications in Boomi, MuleSoft, Salesforce, or cloud platforms.
- Experience with vector databases, LLM agents, and retrieval-augmented generation.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Health Cloud.
- MLOps engineering experience.
