Duties
- Assist with menu planning to ensure a balanced and appealing selection of meals
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards
- Support dietary department operations by assisting with meal assembly and portioning
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
- Provide excellent food service by serving meals promptly and courteously to residents or customers
- Contribute to catering events by preparing dishes, setting up serving stations, and ensuring timely delivery of food
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly within a food industry or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Skilled in menu planning, food industry standards, and culinary techniques such as knife skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with catering services or large-scale food service operations is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Ability to fluently speak Spanish
