Responsibilities
- Assist with menu planning to ensure balanced, appealing, and nutritious meal options
- Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to established recipes and safety guidelines
- Handle food with proper hygiene practices, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Support catering events by preparing, serving, and presenting food attractively
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
- Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dietary services, food preparation, or the food industry is highly desirable
- Knowledge of menu planning, cooking techniques, and food handling procedures
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation and food presentation
- Experience working in restaurant or kitchen environments in a school is a plus!!
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail
