Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with developmental milestones and curriculum standards
- Supervise children during activities, playtime, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety and positive behavior management
- Support classroom organization by preparing materials, setting up learning stations, and maintaining cleanliness
- Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities that promote social-emotional growth, language development, and motor skills
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly
- Administer basic first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary, ensuring children's health needs are addressed swiftly and appropriately
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Certification in infant and child first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Passion for nurturing young learners and supporting their growth in a safe environment
