Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver with a Class B license to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport passengers and goods efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in driving, customer service, and vehicle maintenance will ensure a smooth and positive experience for all clients and team members. Duties
- Safely operate Class B commercial vehicles, including buses, shuttles, or delivery trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport passengers or cargo efficiently along scheduled routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to verify mechanical condition and safety features, reporting any issues promptly
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, answering questions, and ensuring a comfortable ride
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance needs, and route details for compliance purposes
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and cleaning the vehicle interior and exterior
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate schedules and address any operational concerns
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for passenger or cargo transport
- Proven experience in commercial driving, including bus driving, shuttle driving, or delivery services
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact professionally with passengers and team members
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to paratransit services, motor coach operations, or school bus driving is preferred
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as assisting passengers or loading/unloading cargo when necessary
- Customer service-oriented attitude with a focus on safety and professionalism
