Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and nurturing Infant Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role is responsible for the care, supervision, and education of children aged 2 months to 24 months, supporting their development across social, emotional, physical, and cognitive domains through age-appropriate play and learning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that encourage exploration and learning through play.
- Maintain a warm, respectful, and responsive environment that supports toddlers’ emotional and physical needs.
- Foster social development through group play, circle time, songs, and storytelling.
- Promote self-help and independence through structured routines and gentle guidance.
- Monitor and document children’s progress and behavior, and communicate regularly with families.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized classroom that complies with state licensing standards.
- Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and daily communication reports.
- Collaborate with fellow staff and support a team-based classroom culture.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Clever Cubs in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- CDA (Child Development Associate) or equivalent credential preferred.
- Spanish Speaker, a plus
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting.
- Knowledge of Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willing to obtain upon hire).
- Ability to lift 30 lbs, stand/kneel/bend as needed, and actively engage with toddlers throughout the day.
- Passion for early childhood education and a patient, loving approach to child development.
