The Exchange is seeking a Head Chef to lead the opening of a new independent restaurant in Boston - a project built around precision, hospitality, culture, and long-term relevance.

The ideal candidate brings experience from highly regarded kitchens, understands the demands of ambitious dining at scale, and possesses the leadership presence to attract and develop serious talent.
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of culinary direction from pre-opening through launch
- Develop a seasonally driven menu rooted in technique, restraint, and product integrity
- Build and mentor a best-in-class kitchen team and leadership structure
- Establish systems, standards, and operational discipline across all culinary functions
- Collaborate closely with ownership, design, and beverage teams to shape a cohesive guest experience
- Drive excellence in execution while maintaining financial accountability
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience as Head Chef or Chef de Cuisine in acclaimed restaurants
- Strong foundation in classical technique with a contemporary perspective
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-performance teams with professionalism and consistency
- Deep respect for hospitality, sourcing, craftsmanship, and detail
- Experience with restaurant openings or concept development strongly preferred
- Ambition to create work that is both commercially successful and critically respected
