Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service throughout their shopping journey
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Manage cash handling with attention to detail, ensuring accurate change and transaction records
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to maintain an attractive and organized sales floor
- Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and inventory counts
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Engage in retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and promotions to support sales objectives
- Promote store promotions and new products through proactive communication and product demos
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both customers and team members
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued for connecting with diverse customers
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic math skills are essential for accurate transactions
- Previous supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team
- Knowledge of merchandising, stock management, and upselling techniques will help you excel in this role
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are necessary to handle inquiries professionally
