Duties
- Implement individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy protocols to promote skill acquisition and reduce problematic behaviors
- Assist children with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, and self-care routines
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment plans
- Support clients in various settings such as homes, schools, or community locations after school hours
- Communicate effectively with clients’ families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency and progress toward goals
- Follow ethical guidelines outlined by the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
Requirements
- Valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to start date
- Experience working with children, especially those with autism spectrum disorders or neurodevelopmental disabilities
- Knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and data collection methods
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior intervention plans effectively
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and collaboration with families and team members
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude toward supporting behavioral health needs
- Prior experience in school-based or home-based behavioral therapy is highly desirable
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and home-based behavioral interventions is a plus
