About Cha Physical Therapy
Cha Physical Therapy is a manual-therapy-focused outpatient practice at 16 W 32nd St in Manhattan. We combine skilled hands-on treatment with therapeutic exercise, movement retraining, and clear patient education. We are hiring a full-time Physical Therapist who can independently evaluate patients, build focused plans of care, and deliver consistent follow-through.
Patient population
You will treat adults with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions involving the spine, shoulders, hips, knees, and other upper- and lower-extremity problems. The caseload may include patients recovering from surgery, sports or activity-related injuries, persistent pain, and mobility limitations.
What you will do
- Complete initial evaluations, reassessments, progress notes, and discharge planning.
- Build individualized plans of care with measurable functional goals.
- Use manual therapy techniques, including joint mobilization and soft-tissue work, when clinically appropriate.
- Select and progress therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, movement training, and functional activities.
- Teach clear home exercise programs and explain how each recommendation supports the treatment plan.
- Track patient response, reassess outcomes, and adjust treatment based on progress.
- Complete accurate documentation on time and communicate clearly with patients and the clinic team.
- Coordinate with other clinicians when a patient benefits from collaborative care.
Required qualifications
- Current New York State Physical Therapist license in good standing, or eligibility to obtain it before the start date.
- Strong orthopedic clinical reasoning and hands-on manual therapy skills.
- Ability to evaluate independently and explain findings and treatment plans in clear language.
- Reliable documentation, follow-through, and patient-centered communication.
Preferred qualifications
- Outpatient orthopedic experience.
- Experience treating spine, extremity, sports, or postoperative conditions.
- Advanced training in manual therapy, movement assessment, or therapeutic exercise.
Compensation and schedule
- Full-time, in-person position.
- Annual salary of $105,000 to $135,000, based on experience and qualifications.
