Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Pediatric Intake Assessments | In-Person
Preferred Practice Therapy is looking for a compassionate, organized, and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our clinical team and conduct in-person pediatric intake assessments.

What You’ll Do
As an Intake Assessment SLP, your primary focus will be completing comprehensive speech and language evaluations for children entering services at our clinic.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct in-person pediatric speech and language intake assessments
- Administer and score the Preschool Language Scales, Fifth Edition (PLS-5)
- Use clinical observation, caregiver interviews, and standardized assessment results to identify communication strengths and areas of need
- Complete clear, accurate, and timely evaluation reports
- Determine clinical recommendations and appropriate next steps for services
- Communicate evaluation findings and recommendations to parents/caregivers in a supportive, easy-to-understand manner
- Collaborate with our clinical and administrative teams to create a smooth intake experience for families
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with professional and clinic standards
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current state SLP license or eligibility for appropriate licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience conducting pediatric speech and language evaluations
- Experience administering the PLS-5
- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
- Comfortable working directly with children and families in a clinic setting
- Dependable, professional, organized, and family-centered
