We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Ambulatory Surgery Center Nurse Manager to lead our perioperative nursing team. Associated Plastic Surgeons & Med Spa Ambulatory Surgery Center is Opening in November of 2026. The Nurse Manager will help ensure a smooth opening by assisting getting all equipment and resources in place and recruitment and hiring of staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Oversee patient care activities, ensuring adherence to clinical standards, policies, and procedures in accordance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate surgical schedules, staffing assignments, and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, sterile processing standards, and aseptic techniques throughout the facility.
- Monitor patient assessments, vital signs, and medical documentation to uphold quality standards in patient care delivery.
- Facilitate staff training on EMR system, as well as EHR systems for accurate documentation and billing processes.
- Manage incident reports, adverse events, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance safety and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesia providers, surgeons, and ancillary services to ensure seamless surgical workflows.
Experience
- Proven nursing management experience within outpatient surgical or ambulatory care settings.
- Extensive clinical background in areas such as critical care, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, or medical-surgical nursing.
- Demonstrated expertise with EMR/EHR systems; proficiency in ICD-9/ICD-10 coding is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA, long-term care regulations, and accreditation standards such as Quad A and Medicare.
- Familiarity with surgical procedures involving catheterization, IV infusion/insertion, airway management, and sterile technique.
- Ability to lead teams effectively through supervising staff members managing complex Plastic Surgery cases.
- Excellent managerial communication skills with a focus on staff development, case management, discharge planning, and managing care facility teams.
