We are a reputable trucking company located in Ashland, VA, specializing in transportation services. With a fleet size of 17 equipments, we are currently seeking a highly skilled in-house diesel mechanic who possesses extensive experience in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrating unwavering dedication to ensuring the utmost safety and efficiency of our trucks and trailers, both for our drivers and valued customers.
- Conducting DOT compliant maintenance on all vehicles and equipment within our esteemed fleet.
- Implementing preventive maintenance measures for all vehicles and equipment in our possession.
- Proficiently troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing major systems, including engines, transmissions, DEF systems, AC systems, and various driver safety mitigation devices, to name just a few.
- Utilizing advanced OEM Diagnostic platforms for effective troubleshooting and repair, while also actively pursuing continuous learning opportunities through training programs.
- Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work environment at all times.
Qualifications:
- Successfully passing the pre-employment drug screening process.
- Possessing a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Holding a valid driver's license, CDL driver's license is desirable but not required.
- Exhibiting exceptional communication skills, both in terms of clarity and effectiveness, while also being an attentive listener.
- Possessing basic computer skills to efficiently carry out assigned tasks.
- Demonstrating regular full attendance during the designated shift.
- Being a positive and supportive team member, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Capably comprehending and implementing instructions, guidelines, and relevant information necessary for the completion of daily tasks and assignments.
- Being physically able to move, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Having the strength and ability to lift and transport objects weighing up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
Pay: The offered salary ranges from $30 to $40 per hour, depending on the candidate's experience and outcomes of the technical evaluation.
