ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under supervision, the Fabricator Operator is responsible for completing tasks related to structural iron and steel fabrication and completing the tasks in a timely, quality manner.
- Report to Fabrication Foreman
- Operate Saws, Brakes, Presses, and Burn Table
- Operate Forklift and Overhead Cranes
- Handles materials
- Grinding
- Cleanup
- Housekeeping
- Unloading, shake-out of raw steel from trucks to designated areas and/or from one area to another.
- Complete apprentice self-study modules until Journeyman certification is obtained
- Perform related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Experience:1 Year steel fabrication experience (Preferred)
- Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Ability to meet physical requirements of job i.e. working at heights up to 15', long periods of standing, walking, bending, climbing, welding, using hand tools, wearing safety harness and tool belt, exposure to weather, etc.
- Physically demanding position, stamina required.
- Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1 – 70lbs frequently.
- Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp/reach overhead and outward frequently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment while wearing vision and hearing protection, steel toed shoes, gloves and all other required protective equipment.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.50 per hour
