Full Job Description

Tree of Knowledge Learning Academy, a fast-growing, client and therapist-focused company is seeking a strong Occupational Therapist to join our team!

Key responsibilities include:

Assessment:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations to determine a child's strengths and weaknesses in areas like fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills.
- Reviewing medical history and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Treatment Planning:
- Developing individualized therapy plans that address specific needs and goals.
- Creating activities and exercises to promote skill development and independence.
Therapy Delivery:
- Providing one-on-one or small group therapy sessions.
- Implementing evidence-based interventions to improve functional abilities.
Documentation:
- Maintaining accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
Collaboration:
- Working closely with families to educate them about their child's needs and to provide strategies for home practice.
- Collaborating with other professionals, such as physical therapists, speech therapists, and educators, to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
Advocacy:
- Advocate for children's needs and rights.
Monitoring and Adjustment:
- Monitoring a child's progress throughout therapy to ensure they are meeting their goals and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

Skills:

Clinical Skills: Strong assessment, treatment planning, and therapy skills.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and other professionals.
Interpersonal Skills: Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with children and families.
Knowledge of Pediatric Development: Understanding of typical and atypical child development.
