Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diesel engine repair, maintenance, and assembly. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and reliability of our fleet of vehicles.
Diesel Mechanic Requirements:
- Knowledge of AC, Cooling and Heating systems a MUST
- ASE Diesel Certification advantageous.
- Valid driver's license.
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components.
- Good IT and diagnostic skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 150 pounds.
- Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
- Attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Good organization skills.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair diesel engines, suspensions, and HVAC systems
- Perform service technician duties on various diesel vehicles
- Weld and fabricate components as needed
- Assemble and disassemble parts using power tools
- Inspect and repair shocks, struts, and other vehicle components
- Conduct routine maintenance on forklifts
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
- Proficiency in using power tools for assembly and disassembly
- Ability to weld and fabricate components
- Knowledge of HVAC systems in diesel vehicles
- Experience with servicing shocks, struts, and other vehicle parts
- Familiarity with forklift maintenance is a plus
