Duties
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning
- Lead and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales goals through effective coaching and training
- Manage inventory control, including stock replenishment, merchandising, and ordering to optimize product availability
- Supervise cashiering activities, including POS (Point of Sale) system operations and cash handling procedures
- Conduct employee orientation, training sessions, and ongoing development programs to enhance team skills
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, ensuring a positive shopping experience at all times
- Support marketing initiatives by implementing promotional displays and pricing strategies to boost sales
- Assist in budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and other administrative tasks to maintain operational excellence
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the retail industry or similar environment with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong skills in negotiation, sales management, and customer service excellence
- Experience with inventory management systems, POS systems, and retail math calculations
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Demonstrated leadership in recruiting, interviewing, training, and developing team members
- Knowledge of operational management practices including merchandising, stock control, pricing strategies, and store presentation
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations swiftly
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in grocery or wireless sales is advantageous but not required; a passion for retail is essential
- Strong time management skills combined with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and team supervision
