Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality care to our patients. As a PTA, you will work under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist to assist in the provision, collection of assessment data, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload.
Education & Experience:
Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program
CEU's per state licensure requirements
Current licensure by the applicable state agency where required
Prior clinical experience preferred but not required
Newly licensed PTAs welcome!
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in the provision, collection of assessment data, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist
Participate in clinical program development
Contribute to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program
Consult with and train patients, residents, and caregivers
Monitor efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor
Document activities according to the company's clinical documentation system on a timely basis
Demonstrate consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations
Perform additional assigned administrative duties as needed
Specific Requirements:
Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary
Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment, and direct patient care
Requires intense attention and concentration
Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands
Demonstrate ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others
Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds
Ability to articulate and comprehend the English language
