Steves & Sons is seeking an experienced Bilingual Production Supervisor to provide hands-on leadership within our Utah manufacturing facility.
This is a floor-focused, tactical leadership position responsible for directing daily production activities, supervising employees, operating and overseeing heavy manufacturing equipment, and ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity expectations are consistently achieved.
The successful candidate will be a confident, visible leader who can communicate effectively in English and Spanish, coach employees, resolve production problems, and maintain accountability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Provide hands-on leadership and maintain a strong presence on the production floor.

Supervise, coach, and support production employees during daily manufacturing operations.

Assign work, communicate production priorities, and ensure daily production goals are achieved.

Monitor employee performance, attendance, productivity, and compliance with company expectations.

Communicate instructions, policies, safety requirements, and performance expectations effectively in both English and Spanish.

Operate and oversee heavy machinery used in a production environment.

Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with Maintenance when problems occur.

Ensure employees are properly trained to operate machinery safely and efficiently.

Support CNC equipment operations, setup, troubleshooting, and production processes.

Monitor product quality and ensure finished products meet specifications and customer requirements.

Investigate production, quality, and equipment-related problems and implement practical corrective actions.

Enforce safety policies, conduct safety discussions, and respond promptly to unsafe conditions or behaviors.

Coordinate production schedules, staffing, materials, workflow, and priorities.

Complete production reports and maintain accurate records of output, downtime, quality concerns, and employee performance.

Apply Lean manufacturing and 5S principles to improve safety, organization, quality, and efficiency.

Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Human Resources, and plant leadership to address operational concerns.

Provide coaching, feedback, and training to strengthen employee performance and develop future team leaders.

Support other production areas as operational needs require.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.

At least six years of manufacturing or production experience preferred.

At least two years of production leadership, team-lead, or supervisory experience required.

Strong hands-on and tactical manufacturing background.

Experience operating or supervising the operation of heavy manufacturing machinery.

CNC machine operation, setup, troubleshooting, or programming knowledge is a plus.

Millwork, door manufacturing, woodworking, or building-products experience is desired but not required.

Demonstrated ability to lead employees, maintain accountability, and resolve workplace and production issues.

Strong understanding of manufacturing safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Lean manufacturing, 5S, or related continuous-improvement experience is preferred.

Strong communication, organization, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and production-reporting systems.

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing production priorities.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work around operating production equipment.

3+ years' experience in a leadership position in manufacturing.

Strong understanding of the manufacturing process, and continuous improvement activities.

Lean Manufacturing experience and background certification is a plus.

Excellent communication, leadership, and planning skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Suite.

Experience managing in a non-union environment preferred.

Experience in MDF/HDF operations desirable.

Experience in a multi-opening press door skin facility preferred.

Ability to work a rotating shift (swing shifts) in a 24/7 continuous operation.
