Duties
- Greet guests warmly, assist with seating, and manage reservations using platforms like OpenTable.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties, basic math calculations, and cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and ensuring proper sanitation standards are met throughout service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and host/hostess team members to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts.
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a memorable dining experience.
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently.
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume service periods.
- Knowledge of food industry standards including food preparation, serving techniques, and guest relations.
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities.
- Experience with reservation platforms like OpenTable is a plus.
- Culinary or kitchen experience can be beneficial but is not required.
