Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and creative activities to support holistic child development
- Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages positive behavior management and classroom management strategies
- Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share updates on their child's growth, behavior, and educational milestones
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and lesson plans in compliance with mandated reporting laws
- Support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services through individualized instruction
- Lead engaging activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and physical development
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or early childhood settings; classroom experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and standardized testing methods
- Certification in early childhood education or preschool teaching; additional qualifications in special education or early intervention are advantageous
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management best practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
- First aid and CPR certification required; ongoing training in child welfare is highly valued
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and protection
- Experience teaching physical education or integrating movement into daily lessons is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and social-emotional learning

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
