Summary
As a Chimney Technician/Laborer, you will support chimney and masonry projects under supervision, ensuring safe, efficient, and quality workmanship. You will apply core skills in contract reading, concrete , mixing mortar, bricklaying, repointing, and basic construction tasks to install, repair, and restore chimney components. Your role involves collaborating with team members to meet project timelines. With attention to detail and solid communication, you will contribute to reliable, long-lasting chimney solutions for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Set up ground and roof protection
- Help set up staging and ladders
- Sweep ,inspect and assess chimneys and surrounding structure, identifying damage and safety hazards.
- Repair faulty chimneys
- Mix concrete and mortar as needed; apply finishing techniques to achieve smooth, code-compliant results.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools, adhere to safety protocols and site regulations.
- Coordinate with team members and communicate progress, estimates, and any issues; maintain records of work performed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, heights and ladders
- Ability to read contracts and interpret specifications
- Proficient with basic hand tools
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player / works well with others
- Valid driver’s license
- Personal vehicle to travel to and from work
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work outdoors in varying conditions
