Content Creator, Social Media Manager, Videographer, Photographer, Plastic Surgery, Skincare, MedSpa
Full-time, on-site, Beverly Hills, CA $75,000 to $95,000 per year depending on experience. Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends for shoots.
Most content roles hand you a brand deck and a posting calendar. This one hands you an operating room.
We are a Beverly Hills plastic surgery group built around Dr. Cat Begovic, a board certified plastic surgeon with two full surgical residencies from UCLA, more than forty published papers, and 1.7 million followers across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Around her sit three brands: Dr. Cat Plastic Surgery the surgical practice, MD GLAM skincare, and our med spa. All three need content, every day. We are hiring one person to own all of it. You will conceptualize it, shoot it, cut it, and ship it.
If you have been the person quietly making everyone else’s brand work and you want a surgeon, a skincare line, and a med spa to build with, this is that job.
What you will actually make
- Reels, TikToks, and Shorts, daily. Trend-aware, fast, and native to each platform rather than one asset cross-posted four times.
- Long-form YouTube: procedure explainers, patient journeys, Dr. Cat on camera.
- Surgical footage. Real operations, with consent and under HIPAA. Very few creators have this and almost nobody does it well.
- Product and campaign photography for MD GLAM: e-commerce, editorial, model and beauty work.
- Behind the scenes, the unpolished stuff that outperforms the polished stuff.
- Before and afters that respect the patient and still stop the scroll.
What you will own
- The content calendar across all three brands, from idea to published
- Filming and directing Dr. Cat on camera, including making a busy surgeon comfortable and quick to work with
- Editing, color, sound, captions, graphics
- Publishing, community response, and the analytics that tell you what to make next
- AI tools for ideation, iteration, and speed. We are not precious about this. Use whatever gets more good work out the door.
- Knowing what is happening on each platform this week, not last quarter
Who you are
- 4+ years shooting, editing, and running social for a brand, a creator, or an agency. We care about the work, not the logos.
- You shoot and you edit. Camera, lighting, audio, and Premiere or Resolve or Final Cut. Not a strategist who briefs a videographer.
- Genuinely good at photography, particularly people. Trend-aware and cinematic in the same body of work.
- You have built something. A personal brand, a founder’s presence, a product line. You can show what it looked like before you and after.
- Platform-native. You know why a hook works on TikTok and dies on Instagram.
- Fast without being sloppy. Daily output is the job.
- You have real tonal range. This is the hardest part of the job. Some days you are making careful, credible, educational content about a surgical procedure, where getting the tone wrong damages a physician’s reputation. Other days you are making something fast, funny, and trend-driven that has to feel native to a platform full of twenty-somethings. Most creators are genuinely good at one of these. We need both, sometimes in the same afternoon.
- You can be in an operating room. This is not a soft preference. You will be filming real surgery: incisions, blood, tissue, fat, cautery, the sounds and the smell. Cases run long and you will be standing, working around a sterile field, no flash, awkward angles, for hours. If you are not certain you can do that, this is not the job, and there is no shame in knowing that about yourself.
- Discreet. Beverly Hills patients, some of them recognizable. Confidentiality is not negotiable.
Strong pluses: e-commerce or DTC beauty experience, paid social, motion graphics, an existing audience of your own.
How we hire for this
1. Send your reel or portfolio. Not a resume alone. Three to five pieces you made mostly by yourself, with a line on each about what you did and what it did. Include at least one serious or educational piece and at least one fun, trend-driven piece. We are specifically looking for range.
2. Conversation with Binais who is the head of marketing and operations.
3. Observe a case. Before anything else, you will scrub in as an observer on a real surgery. No camera, just you in the room. We would rather you find out this way than on your first shoot day.
4. A paid half-day test. If chosen, come to the practice, shoot, and turn around one Reel and three stills. We pay you for the day whether or not we hire you. A portfolio shows your best work with a full crew and unlimited time. We want to see what you do alone, here, in four hours.
Details
- Full-time W-2, on-site in Beverly Hills. This is a shooting job and the subjects are here. Editing from home is ok.
- Equipment. We would prefer someone who already shoots on their own kit and knows it cold. If that is you, we pay a monthly equipment stipend for its use and wear. If you would rather work on gear we own, tell us what you need and we will buy it. Either way you will not be making do.
- Health, 401(k) with matching, paid time off.
How to apply, and how to reach us
Apply here on Indeed and send your reel or portfolio link to [email protected], and tell us in a few sentences about one piece of content you made that outperformed everything around it, and why you think it worked. Please do not send content that was co-created in a team. Your content only. Please do not call or visit the office, and please do not message Dr. Cat or any of our brands on social media. Those accounts are for patients and customers, and messages sent there will not reach the hiring process. We run the same process for every candidate and going around it does not help anyone. This job is largely about executing a brief precisely, so treat this as the first one.
