We are seeking fun, interactive, and compassionate individual to work with our son as a Caregiver. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support, including toileting + cleanup, tube feeding, communication and community interaction. If you have a passion for helping others and making a difference in people's lives, we want to hear from you. Must be willing to wear mask while indoors with client. The upper price range is ONLY FOR LVNs, Mid range ONLY for CNAs with experience. We are looking for 3- 7 PM 3 days a week, possibly with fill in times.
## Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance in a one-on-one setting and making it fun
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and helping with AAC device and mobility equipment
-Transferring to and from bed/chair/toilet seat/standing frame
- Administer food and sometimes medication via g-tube
- Support individual with cerebral palsy, communication deficits and autism
- Ensure the safety and well-being of client at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment
- Drive and walk client to appointments, errands, and outings as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or Hoyer lift training are a plus
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is desirable
- Ability to work independently during afternoon/evening shifts with a proactive attitude toward client safety and comfort
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with client, team members, and families
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties if required for client outings or appointments
- Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules in a dynamic environment
-Ability to safely lift and/or transfer 125+ lb young adult
- Ability to work with a young adult requiring long-term care
- Willingness to undergo background checks and screenings
