What You’ll Do

Assist in patient intake—rooming, vital signs, and obtaining medical history

Triage and assess patients, prioritizing urgent cases and coordinating care with physicians & APPs

Provide patient education on injury prevention, rehabilitation, pre/post-op care, and wellness

Apply casts, splints, braces, and DME to support recovery

Train patients on proper device use and gait techniques

Assist with in-office procedures and ensure efficient patient flow

Document patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)

Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and clinic staff

Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of patient care and safety

High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an Orthopaedic Technologist program or relevant clinical training preferred

Orthopaedic Technologist Certification (OTC) preferred or willingness to obtain certification within an established timeframe

Current BLS certification (required)

Experience assisting with casting, splinting, brace fitting, durable medical equipment (DME), and orthopedic patient care preferred

Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills

Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced orthopedic clinic environment

Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer applications

Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, athletic trainers, and clinical staff while providing exceptional patient care
