Job Summary
We are seeking full and part-time Seamstress/Tailor positions to join our dynamic and detail oriented team. We prefer candidates with actual experience in a tailor shop as a professional seamstress and tailor. In this role, you will bring garments to life through expert sewing, garment construction, and alterations, ensuring each piece meets our high standards of quality and style.
We are not looking for a manger or for someone to do fittings, the owner handles those activities. We exclusively want seamstress and tailor trained individuals to perform those traditional duties. Your pay is based on a percentage commission earned from the clothing/etc. pieces completed. The more skilled you are the more money you can make.
Your craftsmanship will help customers look and feel their best, making a positive impact on their wardrobe and confidence!
Duties
- Use sewing machines to assemble, alter, or repair garments with precision and care
- Perform garment construction, ensuring proper fit and finish
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of sewing stations and tools
- Follow detailed instructions and measurements using basic math skills for accurate tailoring
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of all tailoring requests
