Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager / Estimator to lead and coordinate complex concrete projects from inception to completion. This role combines strategic estimating with hands-on project management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with all construction regulations. Duties
- Prepare accurate and competitive construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and schematics using industry-standard software such as Planswift, Autocad, On-Screen Takeoff, Revu and Microsoft Office.
- Develop detailed project budgets, schedules, and resource plans to ensure seamless project execution.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to review construction plans and clarify project requirements.
- Manage all phases of construction project management including scheduling, cost control, quality assurance, safety compliance, and regulatory adherence utilizing Primavera P6, Primavera, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, ProCore, and other construction management software.
- Lead project teams on-site and off-site by managing subcontractors and internal staff to meet project milestones while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Oversee construction schedule coordination to ensure timely delivery of phases according to project timelines.
- Monitor project costs continuously to prevent overruns through effective cost management strategies.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to guide construction activities and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on project progress, risks, and issues for stakeholders.
Skills
- Proven expertise in construction estimating with proficiency in HeavyBid or equivalent software.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and Civil 3D for effective timeline management.
- Extensive experience managing complex infrastructure or commercial construction projects from start to finish.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction plans review.
- Familiarity with construction regulatory compliance including safety standards and environmental laws.
- Excellent leadership abilities in managing teams within a construction management role—motivating staff while ensuring collaboration across disciplines.
- Proficiency with construction management software like ProCore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and other project management tools.
- Deep understanding of contract administration including negotiations and managing contractual obligations.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of cost management techniques to control budgets effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
