Customer Service Representative – Swimming Pool Industry
Starting Salary: $38,000 – $42,000 (based on experience and skill set)
Location: Fully Remote (after training period)
Southern Pool + Outdoors is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in supporting our customers and helping ensure daily operations run smoothly.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing outstanding customer service. Pool industry experience is preferred, but not required.
About the Position
This is a fully remote position after completion of a 1–2 week in-office training period in Garland, TX.
As a Customer Service Representative, you will assist customers, coordinate scheduling and routing, support billing processes, and help maintain excellent communication between customers and technicians.
Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and overall skill set. Performance and compensation will be reviewed annually with opportunities for growth based on performance and contribution to the company. Additional commission opportunities are available for converting new customer leads into active accounts.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email
- Provide accurate information regarding services and products
- Follow up with new leads, provide service quotes, and assist with onboarding new customers
- Make outbound calls for customer follow-ups
- Schedule and route repairs using our software systems
- Analyze customer concerns and provide appropriate solutions
- Onboard new customers
- Invoice customers for completed repairs and services
- Assist with collecting past due balances and communicating with customers regarding outstanding invoices
- Support sales initiatives by recommending additional services when appropriate
- Maintain professionalism and compliance with company policies in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Previous customer service or client support experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and professional phone etiquette
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to problem-solve and think critically
- Experience with Excel required
- Experience with G Suite (Google Drive, Google Chat, etc.) is a plus
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Experience in scheduling, dispatching, service coordination, invoicing, collections, or working for a pool company is a plus
