About the Role
We are seeking a tech-forward Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end multi-state and international payroll operations for 1,500+ employees. You will own payroll accuracy, compliance, and automation, serving as our subject matter expert on payroll accounting and regulatory requirements.Schedule: Hybrid 3 days in-office (Mon, Tue, Thu) through September, then transitions to 100% Full Remote.Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end multi-state payroll and complex equity transactions utilizing Workday Payroll.
- Lead payroll accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local taxes, SOX controls, and FLSA standards.
- Manage year-end close and W-2/W-2c processing via Workday and ADP SmartCompliance.
- Oversee global payroll elements, specifically Australia payroll and superannuation compliance.
- Leverage modern AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini) to automate workflows and data validation.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of end-to-end corporate payroll and equity transaction experience.
- Advanced, hands-on technical expertise with Workday Payroll (strictly required).
- Strong mastery of payroll accounting, SOX controls, and general ledger reconciliation.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (advanced formulas).
- Experience with Australia payroll and superannuation is highly preferred.
- Note: Due to critical system cycles, no extended time off can be approved through March 2027.
