A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in north-central Mami Dade County is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven Family Practice Physician to join our growing clinical team. What You Would Do:
As a Family Practice Physician, you will be at the heart of our clinical operations, not just treating patients, but building trust, advancing health equity, and leading clinical initiatives that extend beyond the exam room. You won't just be managing a caseload; you'll be crafting care pathways, mentoring clinical staff, and championing the health of your community every day.
Clinical Care & Patient Services:
- Diagnose and treat patients across all ages, providing emergency care as needed with skill and composure.
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and manage hospital admissions to support seamless patient transitions.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and disease prevention with clarity and compassion.
Program Leadership & Quality Improvement:
- Develop and implement clinical policies, protocols, and quality improvement standards in alignment with FQHC requirements.
- Lead HIV, PrEP, and COVID-19 services within the health center, ensuring evidence-based, community-responsive care.
- Oversee dispensary operations and ensure contract deliverables are met with accuracy and accountability.
- Participate in bi-weekly leadership meetings with the CEO and Chief Medical Officer to align clinical strategy with organizational goals.
Staff Supervision & Development:
- Supervise, coach, and develop clinical personnel, creating a culture of excellence, accountability, and growth.
- Support staff training and professional development initiatives to strengthen the clinical team's capacity.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of our mission and operational needs.
Who We're Looking For:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution - MD or DO required.
- Active Florida medical license; DEA license required.
- Board Certified in a primary care specialty.
- Minimum 5 years of post-residency experience preferred.
- Experience in community health and working with underserved or high-need populations.
- Admitting privileges at local hospitals.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion and professionalism.
- Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle.
