Periodontal Assistant — Implants & Advanced Gum Care
Come from a general dental office and want to grow into surgery? Read this.
Most assistant jobs have you doing the same handful of procedures over and over. This one is different. You will work right next to our board-certified periodontist and implant surgeon, on the cases a lot of assistants never get to touch: dental implants, bone and gum grafting, and microsurgery, all planned with 3-D CBCT imaging. If you are a GP assistant who is ready to move up, this is a real on-ramp into surgical assisting, and we will teach you what you do not already know.
What you'll do
- Set up, assist chairside, and break down for surgical, implant and periodontal procedures
- Keep patients calm, informed, and comfortable from chair to checkout
- Sterilization, instrument prep, and OSHA-compliant operatory turnover
- Capture radiographs and CBCT/I-CAT scans
- Itero scanning
- Chart, document, and keep the surgical day running on time
What we're looking for
- Current Nevada dental assistant radiography certification (or ability to obtain quickly)
- Current CPR/BLS
- Reliable transportation — this role rotates between offices
- Calm hands, a warm manner, and genuine pride in your work
- iTero intraoral scanner experience (Invisalign or restorative scans count) — or quick to learn it
- Surgical/implant experience is a plus, not a must.
- Coming from a general dental office? Great. No surgical experience required — if you have solid fundamentals and want to grow into implant and surgical assisting, we will train the right person who has the attitude and the fundamentals
What you'll get
- 401(k) with profit sharing
- Medical premium contribution
- Paid uniforms / uniform allowance
- Structured, world-class onboarding and ongoing training — you will get better here
- A stable, family-owned specialty group with thousands of 5-star reviews and a team that actually likes coming to work
