Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Server to join our team at HAAM Caribbean Plant Cuisine in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Duties:
- Greet guests and escort them to their tables
- Present menus and provide detailed information on food and beverage options
- Take accurate food and drink orders from guests
- Relay orders to the kitchen and ensure timely delivery of meals
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner
- Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction
- Clear tables and maintain cleanliness of dining areas
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with other restaurant staff to provide a seamless dining experience
Experience:
- Previous experience in the food service industry required. A 2 year minimum in the NYC area
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to anticipate needs and exceed expectations
- Familiarity with Brooklyn's culinary scene and local attractions is a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using POS systems for order processing and payment transactions
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
