Position summary
The Patient Care Consultant (Sales) conducts one‑on‑one consultations with prospective cosmetic surgery patients, educates and guides them through procedure options, and drives revenue through inside and outbound sales activities. This role partners closely with surgeons and the practice manager to convert consults to booked procedures while ensuring outstanding patient experience and HIPAA compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough, informative consultations to determine patient goals and set realistic expectations.
- Promote practice services through consults, patient education, follow‑up and outreach.
- Meet monthly revenue and conversion targets; participate in sales forecasting and goal setting.
- Maintain excellent patient experience: timely follow‑up, issue resolution, and promotion of online reviews.
- Document patient interactions and maintain confidentiality under HIPAA.
- Collaborate with surgeons and practice manager on patient plans and strategic sales initiatives.
- Support clinic operations (schedule adherence, cleanliness, cross‑coverage) and attend staff training.
- Create professional patient correspondence using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; additional relevant education preferred.
- 3–7 years documented sales experience (minimum 1–2 years in plastic surgery/medical aesthetics strongly preferred). Note: retail/counter cosmetics sales do not substitute.
- Proven one‑on‑one consultation and closing skills with a successful sales record.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; professional appearance and warm demeanor.
- Self‑starter, highly organized, detail oriented, able to multi‑task and work independently.
- Comfortable discussing technical/medical information in plain language.
- Proficient with MS Office and scheduling/EMR systems.
- Flexible schedule to support clinic needs.
