Duties
- Remove and replace automotive glass using manual cutting tools, power tools, and specialized fitting techniques.
- Perform auto glass repairs, including windshield chip repairs and full replacements, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Handle glass materials safely, ensuring proper storage, transportation, and disposal in compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct detailed vehicle inspections to assess damage and determine appropriate repair or replacement procedures.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly for on-site visits and customer appointments, maintaining proper documentation of work performed.
- Use auto estimating software to accurately assess repair costs and communicate effectively with customers about services needed.
- Assist with auto body repair tasks such as minor dent removal or panel alignment when required.
- Apply window tinting and detailing techniques to enhance vehicle appearance and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all hand tools and power tools are used safely following safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of installations while providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
Experience
- Prior experience or background working with automotive glass installation is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration procedures is a strong plus.
- Experience with manual glass cutting, automotive glass repair, and replacement techniques is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto body repair enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety practices related to auto glass installation is required.
- Ability to lift heavy glass panels safely and perform heavy lifting tasks regularly is necessary for success in this position.
