How would you contribute?
This role is a contributing member of our Airlite - Omaha team, located in Omaha, NE. As a CDL Driver you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. This position supports manufacturing and warehouse operations by safely transporting company products between manufacturing and distribution locations and assisting with warehouse operations when driving assignments are not scheduled. The role is based at an assigned manufacturing facility and requires interstate driving during standard business hours. This position combines commercial driving responsibilities with hands-on warehouse support.
Essential Duties:
Driving & Transportation

Operate a commercial motor vehicle (tractor-trailer or similar equipment) to transport products between company locations and approved destinations.

Perform interstate driving in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Conduct required pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.

Maintain compliance with FMCSA regulations, including hours of service, driver qualification files, and medical certifications.

Represent the company in a professional manner when interacting with internal teams, customers, and external partners.

Promptly report safety concerns, vehicle issues, or incidents to leadership.
Warehouse Operations (Non-Driving Time)

Support warehouse operations during periods when driving assignments are not scheduled.

Load and unload trucks using appropriate material handling equipment.

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required.

Receive, store, stage, and distribute manufactured products.

Verify shipments for accuracy, quality, labeling, and documentation.

Use basic computer systems and scanners to track inventory movement and shipments.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
General Responsibilities

Report quality, safety, or compliance concerns to management.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

High school diploma or GED required.

Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements as required by law.

Must maintain good standing with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), including:
-
Valid medical certification.
-
Acceptable motor vehicle record.

Compliance with all DOT regulations.
-
Ability to obtain and maintain required forklift certification.
-
Prior commercial driving and/or warehouse experience preferred.

Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach, and use hands for handling materials.

Occasionally required to climb, balance, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work environment includes manufacturing, warehouse, and outdoor conditions.

May be exposed to noise, moving mechanical parts, temperature variations, and weather conditions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role does not have personnel supervisory responsibilities; however, this role includes working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
