Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and documentation to ensure seamless clinical flow
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision, including data entry, updates, and retrieval to support accurate patient information
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently, coordinate follow-up visits, and manage provider calendars to optimize clinic workflow
- Communicate effectively with patients via phone and in person, providing clear instructions and addressing inquiries with professionalism
- Handle insurance third-party billing processes, verify health insurance coverage, and assist with revenue cycle management to ensure timely reimbursements
- Maintain internal communication channels to keep the team informed of schedule changes, patient needs, and administrative updates
- Support administrative tasks such as managing medical supplies, processing paperwork, and performing basic data entry to uphold clinic organization
Experience
- Proven administrative experience within healthcare settings, demonstrating familiarity with medical office operations
- Strong knowledge of health insurance procedures, managed care concepts, and the revenue cycle management process
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation, scheduling, and communication purposes
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) management systems
- Skilled in customer service with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse patient populations
- Capable of managing schedule adjustments efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in data entry and record keeping
- Effective internal communicator who can collaborate seamlessly with healthcare teams and external insurance providers
