Position Summary
We are seeking an EHS Coordinator to support field safety operations across multiple project sites. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and client requirements while promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
This is a hands-on, field-based position that requires frequent interaction with technicians, supervisors, and project leadership. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working directly with employees, communicating expectations, addressing safety concerns, and consistently reinforcing company policies and safe work practices.
The EHS Coordinator must be a confident and effective communicator who is comfortable having difficult conversations when necessary and enforcing Company safety standards in a fair, professional, and consistent manner.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct site safety audits and inspections.

Ensure daily JSA completion and accuracy before work begins.

Track and follow up on corrective actions and safety observations.

Assist with incident investigations and reporting.

Lead and support safety training, toolbox talks, and field coaching.

Partner with Operations to ensure Company policies and safe work practices are consistently followed.

Reinforce Stop Work Authority and promote proactive hazard identification.

Maintain a visible presence in the field by interacting daily with technicians and supervisors.

Coach employees on safe work behaviors and provide immediate feedback when unsafe conditions or behaviors are observed.

Confidently and professionally enforce Company policies, safety procedures, and client requirements.

Support the development of a positive safety culture through employee engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of EHS or safety experience in construction, wind energy, oil & gas, or a related industry.

Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Ability to build positive working relationships while maintaining accountability.

Comfortable speaking in front of groups and conducting employee training.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment.

Ability to professionally address non-compliance and reinforce Company policies.
Preferred
-
OSHA 30, OSHA 500, or OSHA 501.

NCCER CSST or CSSS.

GWO certifications (or willingness to obtain).

Experience with confined space, fall protection, respiratory protection, and rescue programs.

Experience working directly with field technicians in a construction or industrial environment.
Additional Requirements

Ability to travel extensively to project sites, including extended assignments.

Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Must be able to wear all required PPE.

Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to stand, walk, climb, and work in physically demanding field environments.
