Position Overview
As a Field Service Technician, you will install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial pumping systems at customer locations throughout the Southeast. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers on-site, representing GunnCo with professionalism and a commitment to outstanding service.
This position typically requires overnight travel 1–3 nights per week. All travel time is paid.
Responsibilities
- Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair industrial pumping systems and related equipment
- Inspect equipment and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Perform preventative maintenance and field repairs
- Communicate effectively with customers and provide professional on-site support
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately and promptly
- Assist with assembling, preparing, and packaging equipment and customer orders when working from the shop
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in a professional manner
Qualifications
Required
- Valid driver's license and
- Ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Southeastern United States
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physical work including climbing, kneeling, standing, and working outdoors
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
- Ability to pass drug screening requirements as required by company policy or customer sites
- Commitment to working in a tobacco-free environment
Preferred
- Experience with industrial equipment, pumps, motors, controls, instrumentation, or electrical systems
- Previous field service, maintenance, installation, or repair experience
- Technical school certification or associate degree in a related field
