Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Landscaper/Groundskeeper to join our dynamic team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces. Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to keep grounds pristine.
- Identify and care for a variety of plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to promote healthy growth.
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Use hand tools and power tools such as trimmers, blowers, shovels, and lawnmowers efficiently and safely.
- Conduct pest control activities including pesticide management while adhering to safety protocols.
- Install and repair hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other landscape structures.
- Operate construction equipment such as excavators when necessary for larger landscaping projects or site preparation.
- Provide tree care including trimming, pruning, and removal to maintain safety and aesthetics.
- Assist with snow plowing during winter months to ensure clear pathways and driveways.
- Maintain equipment through routine inspections and repairs to ensure optimal performance.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping machinery and tools.
- Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, lawn care, and hardscape installation.
- Ability to identify various plants and trees accurately; understanding of horticulture principles.
- Knowledge of pesticide management practices for safe application of chemicals.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems including installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Construction experience related to landscape projects or site development is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating hand tools, power tools, excavators, and snow plowing equipment safely.
- Good understanding of tree care techniques such as trimming and pruning for health and safety reasons.
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
