Pay Range:
$24-26/hour
Summary:
This role plays an important part in the manufacturing of microchannel heat exchangers. The visual inspector needs to be able to pay great attention to detail. A clear understanding of the manufacturing process is helpful, including the ability to read engineering drawings. This is a critical role which directly affects the quality and performance of the products. Inspectors are looking for divots, pits, or scratches in the shims. If we don’t catch the discrepancies on the shims during inspections, the part can fail when pressure tested.
Responsibilities:
- Visually inspect heat exchangers shims for defects.
- Maintain an organized area with clear tracking on parts.
- Clean heat exchanger shims.
- Assemble heat exchanger shims per engineering drawing.
- Assist engineers and other departments as needed.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Diligently follow all QMS policies, complete required documentation, and input required data into ERP system.
Education and/or Experience:
At least one year’s experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting
At least one year’s experience with hands-on inspection of products
Experience with QMS, specifically ISO 9001 is highly preferred
Excellent in the following skills:
