Senior Care Community Liaison & Family Support Specialist
Temple, Texas | Full-Time | $50,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission
Expected Total Compensation: $60,000–$70,000+
Use Your Senior Care Relationships to Make a Difference for Texas Families
Medicaid Filing Connection has spent more than 14 years helping Texas seniors and their families navigate one of the most stressful transitions of their lives: entering skilled nursing care and figuring out how to pay for it.
We help families navigate the Medicaid eligibility and application process while identifying solutions that may help them protect assets and obtain the benefits available to them.
We’re growing our presence in Central Texas and are looking for an exceptional Senior Care Community Liaison & Family Support Specialist based in the Temple area.
This is not a traditional sales position—and you do not need Medicaid experience. We will teach you that.
What we’re looking for is much harder to teach:
You know the senior care community. You love people. You build relationships everywhere you go. People trust you, remember you, and call you when they need help.
At the same time, you’re intelligent, highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing the client relationships that result from the connections you build.
If you already have strong relationships with skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, home health or hospice providers, elder-care professionals, or others serving seniors in Central Texas, we especially want to meet you.
Who You Are
You are someone who:
- Has existing relationships within the senior care community in Temple, Belton, Killeen, Waco, and/or surrounding Central Texas communities
- Genuinely enjoys meeting people and developing long-term professional relationships
- Is naturally personable, warm, confident, and comfortable walking into a facility and connecting with everyone from administrators to families
- Has a strong business-development mindset without making people feel like they’re being “sold”
- Is intelligent, resourceful, and an excellent problem solver
- Pays close attention to details and follows through on commitments
- Can manage multiple families, deadlines, documents, and priorities without things falling through the cracks
- Communicates professionally and confidently in person, by phone, and in writing
- Is comfortable working independently and taking ownership of a territory
- Has an exceptional work ethic and a high level of personal accountability
- Wants their work to have a meaningful impact on families
What You’ll Do
This position has two equally important components: building relationships in the senior care community and supporting the families those relationships bring to Medicaid Filing Connection.
Build & Grow Our Central Texas Relationships
You will represent Medicaid Filing Connection throughout Bell and McLennan Counties, developing and maintaining relationships with:
- Skilled Nursing Facilities
- Assisted Living and Memory Care Communities
- Hospitals and Rehabilitation Facilities
- Home Health and Hospice Providers
- Senior Care Professionals
- Other organizations and professionals serving seniors and their families
You’ll regularly visit referral partners, provide useful resources, educate professionals about how Medicaid Filing Connection can help their families, maintain existing relationships, and develop new ones.
If you bring business to MFC, you earn commission—and there is no cap on what you can earn.
We want someone who is motivated by both the impact they can make and the opportunity to grow their income by growing their relationships and territory.
Support Families
When families are referred to Medicaid Filing Connection, you’ll also become a trusted point of contact during their Medicaid journey.
You’ll help families gather necessary forms, financial records, and documentation; communicate with them throughout the process; coordinate with our internal team; and make sure both families and referring facilities receive excellent service and regular updates.
You do not need to come to us knowing Medicaid.
We have an established process and experienced team, and we will provide extensive training. We’re much more interested in finding someone with the right relationships, personality, intelligence, judgment, and attention to detail.
Our Core Values
Creativity
We find unique solutions, think outside the box, and keep pushing when we encounter roadblocks.
Compassion
The families who come to us are often experiencing an overwhelming season of life. We genuinely care about them and treat them accordingly.
Empathy
We listen, communicate clearly, and remember that behind every application is a family.
Continuous Improvement
We don’t settle for “good enough.” We’re constantly looking for ways to serve families, referral partners, and each other better.
