About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Manager to oversee upkeep and day-to-day functionality. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. This role requires a strong foundation in light building systems and the flexibility to respond to issues as they arise.
A current South Carolina general contractor license is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee routine maintenance and repairs across properties
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and general building systems
- Prepare spaces for occupancy, including light renovations, punch list completion, and inspections
- Maintain property appearance and functionality, including common areas and exterior spaces
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely, professional manner
- Maintain tools, materials, and inventory
- Coordinate with vendors or contractors as needed

- Construction background
- Approaching retirement or recently retired
- Wanting to cut back on current hours and/or have more flex time
- Excellent trim carpentry skills
- Light plumbing

- Light drywall and framing repairs
- General troubleshooting and problem-solving
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexibility in working hours, including availability for occasional on-call needs
- Prior experience in maintenance, construction, or property operations preferred
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
