American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Aurora, CO, requiring a minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience and the ability to float across inpatient units.

Progressive Care Unit (PC2) at a 345-bed, 3-time Magnet-designated hospital in Aurora, CO
-
Large cardiac patient population across two telemetry floors and a PCU
-
Patient ratio of 1:5 on both day and night shifts
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
13-week contract
-
Floating required to all inpatient Med/Tele and Rehab units
-
EMR: Meditech
-
RNs work alongside CNAs on most units
-
Active CO or Compact RN license required
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of start)

Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for PCU RNs

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care PCU experience required

Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience strongly preferred

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required

Chemo certification (ONC) is a nice-to-have and would allow scheduling on the Oncology unit

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
