Overview
Join our dynamic logistics team as a Double Forklift Operator and become a vital part of our warehouse operations! In this energetic role, you will expertly operate dual forklift equipment to efficiently load, unload, and transport materials within our distribution center.
1st Shift Weekend- 6:00am to 6:30pm, Friday-Sunday
Duties
- Operate double forklifts, including reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move goods safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload shipments using appropriate forklift attachments such as clamps or bar code scanners for logistics accuracy.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs or repairs, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Manage inventory through warehouse management systems (WMS), accurately tracking stock levels and updating records during shipping & receiving processes.
- Assist with order picking tasks, utilizing manual handling techniques and barcode scanning tools to fulfill customer orders precisely.
- Follow warehouse safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards, including proper manual handling, heavy lifting techniques, and equipment operation procedures.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials for storage or shipment while adhering to safety standards in production environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts such as reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, or pallet jacks within a warehouse setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, inventory management, and materials handling.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while following OSHA safety standards.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and order accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology used in logistics workflows.
- Excellent manual handling skills combined with a keen eye for safety protocols related to forklift safety standards in production environments.
