Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including heating units, air conditioning units and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Perform electrical diagnostics and mechanical systems repair using hand tools such as ohmmeters and other specialized equipment.
- Conduct system inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate; perform routine maintenance to ensure system longevity.
- Troubleshoot complex HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) issues involving electrical systems, plumbing connections, refrigerants, and mechanical components.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs; provide clear explanations of repairs or system upgrades while delivering outstanding customer service.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all work performed for compliance and future reference.
Requirements
- Proven service technician experience in HVAC systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC equipment and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals with confidence.
- Experience with HVAC system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Electrical diagnostics skills using tools such as ohmmeters; familiarity with electrical systems within HVAC applications.
- Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants; valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (<PERSON> driver).
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Familiarity with plumbing components related to HVAC systems; experience working with hand tools and equipment repair is preferred.
