Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilization procedures to ensure readiness for patient care.
- Assist dentists during various procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and some pediatric dentistry with chairside support.
- Take dental x-rays, including 3D scans, while adhering to strict radiation safety protocols.
- Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical histories, taking vital signs, and ensuring comfort throughout their visit.
- Maintain accurate documentation using patient management software like Open Dental while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Process dental instruments through sterilization procedures following infection prevention management standards.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to promote ongoing oral hygiene.
- Review treatment plans with patients and schedule appointments
- General housekeeping duties
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
