We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced full-time Billing Specialist to join our busy Urgent Care Clinic in Van Nuys.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding, as well as a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology. As a Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes.
Responsibilities:

Review and analyze medical records to ensure proper coding and documentation

Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies

Follow up on unpaid or denied claims

Resolve billing discrepancies and issues

Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for billing purposes
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing & collections

Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and practices

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Proficient in using computer systems for data entry and recordkeeping
