Lead Infant Teacher

The Modern Schoolhouse is hiring a Lead Infant Teacher for our San Mateo campus, a premium early childhood program serving infants, toddlers, and Pre-K children. Our infant teachers are credentialed early childhood educators who lead the room with intention.
Requirements
- Completed ECE core units (required) — Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus. Must have INFANT/TODDLER units.
- 2+ years working with infants in a licensed childcare or preschool setting (preferred).
- Working knowledge of infant development, attachment, and responsive caregiving.
- Calm, patient temperament and warm communication with new parents.
- Reliability and a genuine love for babies.
Responsibilities
- Lead a classroom of infants ages 0–24 months.
- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate sensory, motor, and social-emotional activities.
- Follow each baby's feeding, sleep, and developmental rhythms with precision.
- Practice responsive, gentle caregiving aligned with Conscious Discipline.
- Maintain detailed daily records and update families via our parent communication app.
- Send a monthly newsletter to families.
- Manage diapering, bottle feeding, and sanitation routines.
- Collaborate with co-teachers to maintain consistent care.
