Carbon Fiber Field Technician
HJ3 is looking for hard working, talented individuals to join its team as a Carbon Fiber Field Technician. Successful candidates will exhibit a steady work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work well on a team. Candidates must be able to work flexible hours and shifts to accommodate clients’ needs as well as travel 70% to perform work throughout the United States.
Selected candidates will be mentored through a comprehensive training program designed to advance your career opportunities, which would lead to a Lead Technician, or Site Manager position.
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Mobilization and/or demobilization activities
- Surface cleaning and preparation for epoxy-based products, both concrete and steel
- Lay-up Carbon Fiber and epoxy-based products with high quality
- Understand and work to all QC procedures and work instructions
- Must be able to achieve quality and production goals
- General laborer work
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or recognized equivalent
- Basic knowledge of Hand Tools to include: sanders, angle grinders, straight grinders, power drills
- Ability to follow detailed step by step instructions
- Detailed and Quality work habits
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to work in heights over 150 ft for extended period of time
- Construction experience working with Steel & Concrete a plus
- Fiberglass and Epoxy/urethane experience a plus
Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel 70% of the time, able to work in any state in the US, and be on a particular job-site for extended period of time (1-3 months)
- Be punctual (on-time) and able to work long hours.
- Safety conscious, follow process and procedures, work in a team environment, and ability to work safely at heights and enclosed spaces.
- Ability to speak, read and write in the English language.
- Able to work on 150ft+ tanks, silos, etc.
